Heading

Heading simply means the header part of your resume. Under the heading you can simply write either Resume or Curriculum Vitae (CV). Make sure you write it otherwise it will create your bad impression in front of Interviewer.

Heading should always in a Bold Format, which shows what this page or file is all about.

Do not write heading in a fancy font, try to use professional fonts like Arial, Calibri etc.

You can write heading anywhere on the header, either on the left corner, middle or right corner.

Do not write heading in a small font or extra-large fonts, try to keep it large, bold and decent.

Passport Size Photo

Stick your passport size photo either on upper left corner or upper right corner.

Do not staple your photo, try to use glue or gum, then stick it on your resume.

Your photo should be professional, do not stick photo in which you have worn fancy dress, have long hairs, goggles, beard etc. First click your photo in a professional dress with short hairs, clean shave etc, then stick it on out resume.

Photo shows your complete personality how professional and serious you are, or you are not.

Size of your photo should not be very small or extra-large, it should be of standard size i.e., approx. 4.5cm ∗ 3.5cm.

Personal Detail

Personal details should be very specific.

Under this you must write your name, age, date of birth, phone no, address, Email, Marital status, father’s name, mother’s name.

Do not write it in a paragraph form, write it in a proper format like

  • Name
  • Age
  • Date of Birth
  • Phone No.
  • Address
  • Email
  • Marital Status
  • Father’s Name
  • Mother’s Name

It should be in a proper format, otherwise interviewer will get confused while reading your resume.

Career Objective

Career objective describes what you are looking forward, why you want this job, and how serious you are for getting this job.

It should not be written in a big paragraph, only 2-3 lines are enough.

For Example, you can write – Looking forward for a position in an organisation where my acquired skills and education will be utilised towards continuous growth and advancement of the organization.

Do not copy and write the same above line, you can easily write your own lines.

Interviewer generally reads this line to check your seriousness.

Educational Qualification –

It describes your Educational Background i.e., about your school, college, or any other institution you have studied.

It should be in a proper format like Name of degree, Institute Name, University Name, Percentage/Grade, Year of Passing.

Try to create a proper table and then write all these details in them.

Experiences

Under this write you current and past work experience.

It shows about in which field you are working in, which company you are currently working or have worked in, job time period etc.

For people who have experience you can categorise it into 2 fields.

  • Past Experience

Under this write about all your past companies in which you have worked in

  • Current Experience

Under this write about your company in which you are currently working.

  3. Location
  4. Time Period

Technical Skills

Technical skills generally describe your technical knowledge.

Describe all details related to Computer & IT.

Mostly, companies are looking for people who have some technical knowledge in them, so it will be a plus point for you if you add this in your resume.

Projects

If you have done any graduation project, dissertation, or internship you can write over here. It shows how active you were during your school and college time.

If you are a fresher this thing will help you a lot.

Achievements

Achievements generally describes your past records, ranking, awards, Prizes etc
